Community is Everything

Kati joined the Green Party after becoming frustrated with tactical voting and wanting to support the party that most closely reflected her values. Having previously run an environmentally friendly retail business with a community fridge in Ashford, she understands the power of local people working together to improve everyday life.

Investing in Young People

Equality of opportunity is at the heart of Kati’s work. As Chair of her children’s school PTFA and a parent governor, she has helped raise thousands of pounds to improve opportunities for pupils. She believes every child deserves access to enriching experiences, regardless of their family’s circumstances.

Stronger Together

Rather than dwelling on negative stereotypes, Kati believes communities flourish when people come together to solve problems. She hopes to see exciting new developments in Ashford alongside stronger community partnerships and greater opportunities for local people to shape their own future.

Proud of Ashford

Kati loves Ashford’s unique position: close to London, the coast and beautiful countryside, yet full of its own vibrant community life. Whether meeting friends at Ashford Cinema, supporting local organisations or volunteering for and celebrating community initiatives like Ashford Freeshop, she sees enormous potential in the town and the people who call it home.
