action is the only way
Alison joined the Green Party about 10 years ago. Noticing the decline of butterflies and insects, the loss of green space, increases in congestion, pollution of our waterways and beaches, plastic everywhere in nature, the increasingly volatile climate, and the struggles that everyone seemed to be having to make ends meet… Alison decided that she would be part of the solution.

nature heals
Alison is passionate about nature and feels strongly that everyone should have access to green space. Nature is essential to our survival, and everything that we need to live is reliant on a thriving natural environment: clean water, clean air, our food.
wildflower champion
While she lives in Ringmer in East Sussex, Alison set up Wildflower Ringmer, a group dedicated to bringing more wildflowers to the village. Since then, the project has gone from strength to strength.
Alison can talk forever about organic vegetable growing, and is a regular down at the wonderful Rolvenden allotments.
rolvenden
Alison loves living in rural Rolvenden. The fields around the village were given to the community by an elderly landowner in her will, to be enjoyed by the public and not to be built on. Alison has campaigned against inappropriate development in and near Rolvenden and, like many Greens, she is keen that while the social housing that is needed across the country gets built, the race to build does not starve future generations of the green spaces and precious countryside that are so important to everyone.
