Steve represents Tenterden South on the Tenterden Town Council.

Standing Up for Fairness

Steve has been politically active for much of his life and joined the Green Party after recognising in it a genuinely radical and hopeful vision for the future. Having previously been involved with the Liberal Democrats, he found the Greens’ commitment to equality, inclusion and social justice better reflected the values he wanted to champion.

Curious by Nature

When politics takes a back seat, Steve enjoys discussing evolutionary biology and exploring ideas that help us better understand ourselves and the world around us. He believes the Green Party offers a genuinely progressive alternative—one that is rooted in hope, inclusivity and practical action.

Championing Inclusion

Equality of opportunity lies at the heart of Steve’s work. He is passionate about ensuring that everyone is represented and included in society, regardless of background or belief. As Ashford’s representative on Kent SACRE, he works to ensure that different worldviews, including Humanism, are recognised and respected.

Proud to Serve Tenterden

As a Town Councillor for Tenterden South, Steve values the area’s growing diversity, cultural life and strong sense of community. Looking ahead, he hopes to see Britain rebuild closer ties with Europe while continuing to create more inclusive opportunities locally.
